Step 1: Registration and Tuition

Persons enrolling for classes should do so at the ALCO Main or Poinciana campuses. Please have a photo ID when making the test appointment. Enrollment in classes is based on space availability, so it is important that you register prior to the start of the class.

Continuing students tuition cost is $45.00 for one semester. Continuing students cost includes $15.00 registration fee and $30.00 tuition fee.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO VOLUNTARILY WITHDRAW FROM THE CLASS IN WHICH THEY HAVE ENROLLED. You will be notified only if the class you want is full or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.

Step 2: CASAS Testing
New students must take the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) test. The CASAS test consists of listening and reading. While there is no pass or fail on the CASAS test, you should try to do your best so you are placed in the proper ESOL level. The test will take 3 hours to complete.

Start dates and times for ESOL classes will be given immediately after completing the CASAS test.
If you are taking classes at ALCO Main or Poinciana campuses, you will receive your student identification card and parking permit on the first week of class.
