What We Offer

Adult Basic Education (ABE)The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program provides remediation in reading, writing and mathematics in preparation for earning a General Educational Development (GED®) diploma, or transitioning into the labor market, higher academic, or vocational training.

Adult High School (AHS)The Adult High School (AHS) program provides educational opportunities for individuals wishing to earn a traditional credit-based high school diploma from Adult Learning Center Osceola.

English (ESOL)The six (6) levels of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes are designed for adults who need to develop skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

General Educational Development (GED®)The General Educational Development (GED®) program provides instruction in Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, and Mathematics.

Integrated Education & Training (IET)ALCO's Integrated Education & Training (IET) programs help adult learners prepare for a specific occupation while improving their basic skills, English language skills, and/or earning their GED®.

Dear ALCO Students and Community,
Welcome to the Fall 2026 Semester at ALCO!
As we begin a new school year, I am excited to welcome both our returning and new students to the ALCO family. Fall is a season of fresh starts, renewed goals, and endless possibilities, and we are thrilled to embark on another year of learning, growth, and achievement together.
We are especially proud to reflect on the tremendous success of the 2025–2026 school year. Together, we celebrated many accomplishments, including adding over 300 graduates to our community, expanding instructional offerings, and creating new opportunities that helped more students reach their educational and career goals. These achievements are a testament to the dedication of our students, the commitment of our staff, and the support of our community. As we begin this new year, we are excited to build on that momentum and continue reaching even greater heights.
This fall brings exciting opportunities for our students. We are proud to continue our new Culinary Integrated Education and Training program at the Kissimmee campus, offering students another pathway to high-demand careers. We are also introducing Florida Ready to Work certifications to strengthen workforce readiness and employment opportunities. Additionally, we have expanded our conversational ESOL classes and increased our virtual learning options, providing greater flexibility and access to high-quality instruction. These enhancements reflect our commitment to listening to our students and continually evolving to meet the needs of our community.
Whether you are improving your English language skills through ESOL, preparing to earn your GED, gaining career training through one of our IET programs, every class you attend and every goal you achieve brings you one step closer to a brighter future.
