  • Although Adult Education does not provide ESE classes, students with current or past IEP’s or 504 plans may receive accommodations.

Federal and state legislation requires the provision of accommodations for students with disabilities as identified on the secondary student’s IEP or 504 plan to meet individual needs and ensure equal access.  Accommodations change the way the student is instructed. Students with disabilities may need accommodations in such areas as instructional methods and materials, assignments and assessments, time demands and schedules, learning environment, assistive technology and special communication systems. Documentation of the accommodations requested and provided should be maintained in a confidential file.

To disclose your disability, schedule a meeting, and develop a 504 plan unique to Adult Education, contact our Adult with Disabilities Specialist, Sullymar Reices-Irizarry (Sullymar.ReicesIrizarry@osceolaschools.net).

  • There is no test required to enroll.  Once enrolled, you must take and/or pass the same state tests as K-12 high schools (FSA-ELA, Algebra 1-EOC, Geometry-EOC, U.S. History-EOC and Biology 1-EOC).  Concordant scores for FSA-ELA and Algebra 1 EOC are the same.  An analysis of your transcript will determine what tests are necessary.  If you wish to take the SAT or ACT, please click on these links:  ACT and/or SAT.

  • Students show progression in the AHS program by earning credits that move them from ASE level 5 (11th grade) to ASE level 6 (12th grade). Students must complete all required statewide exams in accordance with State of Florida guidelines. Depending on the course, students may be required to complete an End of Course (EOC) exam. Students may also earn concordant or comparative scores in certain courses.

  • You will receive a standard high school diploma from Adult Learning Center Osceola.  We hold two graduation ceremonies per year. The cost of graduation is $25 (subject to change).  You may receive your diploma and transcripts within two weeks of finishing all classwork and necessary testing.
