General Educational Development (GED®)
Adult Learning Center Osceola programs are open to individuals who speak English fluently, are 16 years of age or older, and not enrolled in a K-12 school. Applicants seeking enrollment into the Adult Basic Education (ABE) or General Educational Development (GED®) program must take a pay for registration, pay for tuition, and take a placement test.

Initial cost is $70.00 ($30.00 tuition, $25.00 placement test, $15.00 registration).
Cost for continuing students is $45.00 ($30.00 tuition and $15.00 registration).
We accept Visa or MasterCard only. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH and WE DO NOT ACCEPT APPLE PAY.
Students under the age 18 and parent/legal guardian must schedule a meeting with ALCO's Guidance Counselor before being enrolled.
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO VOLUNTARILY WITHDRAW FROM THE CLASS IN WHICH THEY HAVE ENROLLED. You will be notified only if the class you want is full or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.

New students must take the Greater Opportunities for Adult Learning Success (GOALS) test. The GOALS consists of Reading and Math. While there is no pass or fail on the GOALS, you should try to do your best so you are placed in the proper GED® class.

Whether you select face-to-face or hybrid GED® Virtual classes, the GOALS must be taken in person at our Main or Poinciana locations.

GOALS test scores, start date, start time, and student identification card will be given immediately after completing the GOALS test.
The cost for the ALCO student identification card is included in the registration fee.
