  • The six (6) levels of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes are designed for adults who need to develop skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing.

    1. APPLY: Complete the registration form by clicking on Apply Now on the top right.
    2. PAY: Make the online payment fee of $70.00 ($30.00 tuition, $25.00 placement test, $15.00 registration).  We accept Visa or MasterCard only.  WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH and WE DO NOT ACCEPT APPLE PAY!!!
    3. MAKE:  Make the placement test appointment.
    4. TEST*: Bring your photo ID to take the 3-hour, in-person placement Listening and Reading test called STEPS (Student Test of English Progress and Success).
    5. START: Begin class at your selected class location and time.

     

    *STEPS test scores expire after one (1) year.

  • NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN TO STUDENTS WHO VOLUNTARILY WITHDRAW FROM THE CLASS IN WHICH THEY HAVE ENROLLED. You will be notified only if the class you want is full or cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.

    Since ALCO is a publicly-funded adult education program, ALCO does not require or issue Visas.
