The Carpentry Pre-apprenticeship Program focuses on the basic skills needed to advance into a registered carpentry apprenticeship program.

It combines related technical instruction (RTI) with basic hands-on training.

Paraprofessionals, or Teacher Assistants, support classroom teachers by helping with instruction, promoting a focused learning environment, and providing one-on-one or small group support to ensure all students succeed.

ALCO’s Paraprofessional course will help students with developing job-specific skills while improving the English language. Additionally, students must pass the ParaPro Test to be eligible for a Paraprofessional position.

ALCO’s Phlebotomy class is designed to prepare adults to perform as a professional phlebotomist, primarily drawing blood.

It simultaneously addresses Adult Education needs—ESOL or GED—along with the Phlebotomy Standards.

After completion of the program, students can take the American Medical Technologist (AMT) exam to become a Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) to be able to work in the industry.
